What kind of golf set should I get? ?

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah and there is a golf program for a couple hundred bucks to golf for free at golf courses in the area. I want to do this with some of my friends but I don’t have a golf set. People tell me I need to get the clubs fitted but I don’t want to spend to much. What are some tips for getting a cheap set but I would rather get a good quality set.

I am in love with golf I have top flite clubs. I like those clubs a lot. My clubs were around $200. Hope this helps.
Golf Tips Putting
I personally play Nike, which are wonderful and helped my game a ton, and my irons cost about 250, and my driver 190. But i also boughtthem sseparately which will effect them some what. Getting your clubs fitted helps ALOT, but not always nnecessary Also, if you would like to improve your game ssignificantly i would suggest getting cavity backed clubs, if nothing else.
