First remember this all important rule in gold let the club do the work. After that I would tell you the simplest thing to do is get a golf viedo and watch it. I myself have one by the great Arnold Palmer and believe me he goes into great depth to teach people the game.

On the driving range, start with your wedge or 9 iron. Feel the swing! Hit a few balls with the iron. Use the same swing when hitting your 3 wood. Take less of a back swing. Slow down. You don’t have to be a gorilla. Ditto what the other brilliant golfer said…..club does the work.

    I am a 5′ 8″, 130# skinny girl who drives 200 yards with a 3 or 5 wood. If I can do it…..

To keep from topping the ball what you must do is whenever you bring the club back in your backswing almost drag the head of the club on the grass keeping the club head low, continue bringing the club back as in a usual upswing, then downswing. This should help you to not top the ball. It will allow you to make solid impact which could assist you in preventing a shank as well. Closing the clubface a little more should assist you in not shanking as well.

Just keep your left arm straight through out the swing, get your chin up and limit movement of the body, like dipping into the ball!!!!

wider stances for distance. but for me i have slowed my swing down and gained distance because im hitting it in the sweet spot more. try that it may work. you just have to go to the range and find your way that is good for you and you only

Well I have played golf with bullas before and rest assured he is no +3 handicapp.. he couldnt make contact with the ball with a broom. But what do i know ive never hit a hole-in-one before but i have hit a guy. I would have yelled fore but i was too busy mumbling under my breath “thats not going to hit him”

A really good golfer once told me to try imagining my head was being held in place throughout the shot. That is; back-swing to follow-through. It worked for me. It prevents lungeing down at impact and pulling up at contact. Sound silly? Well, some think the whole game is silly. Pity them.
